Favorites from Italy in the lead after the first senior pas de deux - Csandl & Thiel are third
Lorenzo Lupacchini and Silvia Stopazzini (ITA) took the lead in the first Pas de deux at the European Championships 2017. With their zappy Mambo Pas de deux, they have a pretty comfortable lead of almost three tenths on the German "Bonnie & Clyde" duo Theresia-Sophie Bresch and Torben Jacobs. The Italian duo had been able to win the CVIO in Ebreichsdorf in May as well as the Pas de deux competition at the CHIO Aachen 2017.

Our Austrian Pas de deux dedicated itself to the subject of "hunting in ancient times". Stefan Csandl and Theresa Thiel (UVT Eligius) rank currently very promisingly as third, but have a backlog of almost six tenths, probably due to a little problem at the beginning of the freestyle. So it is definitely still room to improve for the finals on sunday (06.08.).
The second Austrian Pas de deux, Ruth Konrad & Elisabeth Kiss, who had moved in the team after the sad drop out of Jasmin Lindner & Lukas Wacha, was able to rank as seventh of ten pairs. European Championships Vaulting 2017
