Foreword

By the FEI President

On behalf of the FEI I am delighted to welcome you to Ebreichsdorf for a Vaulting extravaganza with the FEI World

Vaulting Championships for juniors and the FEI European Vaulting Championships for seniors 2017.

Over the coming days you will have the pleasure to see some of world’s youngest and most talented vaulters as well

as their senior and more experienced European counterparts compete for both individual (male and female),

pas-de-deux and squad honours. Host to FEI European Jumping Championships for children, juniors and young riders

in 2012, and FEI European Vaulting Championships for juniors and seniors in 2013, Ebreichsdorf is no stranger to

welcoming the future stars of equestrian sport.

Championships are a very special occasion, not only because they crown the region’s best partnerships but also

because they focus on team spirit and national pride. Representing your nation is a huge honour and I would like to

take this opportunity to congratulate all the athletes and their incredible support teams for their unrelenting dedication.

You have been selected to compete against the very best and this demonstrates just how committed, talented and ambitious you are. I wish you the very best for these Championships and beyond.

Combining the very best of the next generation of athletes with today’s most proficient Vaulters is a great endeavour and I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the Organising Committee for hosting this important event and to all their partners and sponsors for investing in the future of equestrian sport. To the officials, the volunteers and the many individuals without whom this event could not take place, thank you for your time and expertise.

To all the fans, I hope you enjoy the very best of Vaulting - tremendous displays of athletic ability, horsemanship and team work - in what is going to be an electric atmosphere presented to you by some of the world’s and Europe’s most determined Vaulting ambassadors. May skill, horsemanship and a sporting attitude prevail.
